Acorn: The Seeds of Destruction

Those who choose to ignore the actions of Acorn are ushering in the destruction of the United States as we know it.     What is more fundamental to the United States than the right to vote!  Though one can also argue what is more fundamental to Chicago politics than corruption.  With Barack Obama and his Chicago ties we can now see the future of politics in America:  Chicago corruption...from shore to shore.   The amazing thing is our tax dollars are funding Acorn.   Some shrewd corrupt politician, most likely Democrat, since Acorn primarily registers Democrats, has managed to find away to fund Acorn.  And to add insult to injury we will be giving even more money to Acorn through the bailout of the financial institutions.  I've lost count on how many investigations/indictments are happening against Acorn.   Based on all of this I would have to concede that Acorn is a one of those Government programs that has failed and should not be funded.   Perhaps we should ask Obama if he considers this a failed program that should not be funded?  If not then we need to understand his definition of failure.  But I suspect he considers Acorn a rousing success.  After all why would he donate $800,000+ to them from his funds if he considered them a failure.  It is time for the American people to stand-up right your congressman and house and demand that no government funds be given to Acorn be cut off.

Jesus was a community organizer...

In recent days there have been those trying to defend Barack Obama against a comment that Sarah Palin made comparing the role of a small town mayor to that  of a community organizer.   The retort has taken the from of.."Jesus was a community organizer and Pontius Pilate was a governor".   Both insinuations in this comment I find objectionable.   Comparing Governor Palin, who has a strong faith, to the Governor that killed Jesus...or more correctly allowed others to kill Jesus in spite of finding no fault in Him is an incredible distortion.  But to compare Barack Obama with Jesus?    Please lets get real. No Christian would ever claim to be on par with Jesus.   But what Jesus stood for is not what community organizers stand for in any sense of the word.   True Jesus stood up for the poor...and said "we" (his believers) had an obligation to take care of them.   Note he did not say the government or some other entity had the obligation to do that.   Community organizers start with unrest and fan it into a flame and then threaten government or corporations to get what they want.   Jesus never did that.   In fact..Jesus said  "Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's and give unto God what is God's"  Community organizers say we have nothing...lets take something.   Jesus said..turn the other cheek.
With Barack Obama not shutting this line of commentary down, one has to conclude that he truly believes in the messianic complex.
Those that site it most likely are not serious Christians in any sense of the word.   Talk about audacity of hope.   I'll keep my faith and hope in Jesus my personal Lord and Savior.

Why does race remain an issue...

The current presidential election cycle is one that is truly historic in nature.  The first black (or at least half black) person is the candidate of a major political party.   One would have to say that the country has come along way since the civil rights marches of the 1960's for this monumentous event to be occuring.   At the same time however I must marvel at the "dream" that has not been achieved.   Martin Luther King longed for the day when  men and women would "not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character".  To understand a man's character you must look at his life in it's totality.  What are the choices he made, and why.  Whom does he associate with..and why.    Does what he say match with his actions?  Are his accomplishments consistent with what he claims as his values?

With Barack Obama I wonder what Martin Luther King would think.   I doubt if Martin Luther King would ever say "God Damn America" as Reverend Wright has done.    I doubt that he would approve of Barack's association with Bill Ayers of the Weatherman terrorist organization.   Barack's accomplishments are dubious at best.   His autobiography would definitely make one wonder about his judgment and character even accounting for the indiscretions of youth.   And now after gaining the democratic nomination by running as far to the left as any candidate he is running quickly towards the center.   Before anyone should believe he is a centrist I would like to see a decade of legislation proving it.  His actions do not match his words.   His talking points do not match values he previously espoused.

I fully believe that what Martin Luther King stated is correct.   We should judge a man by the content of his character.  We will cease to be the great nation that we are as long as the media distorts or hides relevant facts so that we have the information to discern a man's character.   We are not a color blind society.  If we were we would not see 90% of one race voting for a man of the same color.
